Superb Stays in South Africa

Send to Kindle

We thought you’d like to know where others are having fantastic experiences in South Africa. Once a week, we’ll do a round up of the very best guest reviews received from travellers using the SA-Venues.com website to book their accommodation for their South African holidays.

1). The first review which really stood out for us last week, was from Mike Cowie of Oyster Bay, who stayed at Montagu Country Hotel (in the Western Cape) in July of 2009. Mike had this to say about his time at the Montagu Country Hotel …

Montagu Country Hotel

Montagu Country Hotel

“Arrived and the staff were so welcoming, all the staff on duty that evening wanted to do something to make you feel so at home. The welcome was really overwhelming and so friendly, even the glass of local Muscadel had the warming effect. The rooms very warm and cosy, the views were breathtaking. It was what we needed being on holiday, a place to relax and feel at home.

The highlight was being driven around the town and neighbouring area of Montagu in one of their classic cars.  We were fortunate enough to have a guided tour by PJ in their 1956 Cadillac.  I would definitely pay them to take me out to a couple of wine estates situated close by for the day and just enjoy the wine, the conversations and obviously listening to the Beatles playing while enjoying your comfortable relaxing ride.

Many thanks to PJ and the team of Montagu Country Hotel for their hospitality and enjoyment. We will return. And for those who haven’t been, you better, you’ll be missing out on something awesome!!!”

2). The second review that stood out and made us want to “pack up and go there now”, is the following review submitted by Vicky Rumble of Durban, who stayed at Mkuze Falls Game Lodge (in KwaZulu Natal) in July of 2009. Vicky had this to say about her stay at Mkuze Falls:

Mkuze Falls Game Reserve

“Although our stay was short it is a time we will never forget. Game drives were amazing as they took us right to the action, we saw more in 2 days than we had seen in 2 yrs at other game parks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals during our stay as well as snacks and high tea were lovely. We enjoyed staying in the tented lodge and I would recommend Mkuze Falls to anyone.”

TIP: The 5 Star graded Mkuze Falls Game Lodge are offering an exclusive special offer which is only available via the SA-Venues.com web site. During the month of August your partner stays at half price when 2 persons sharing stay for 2 nights or longer. This is really good value when you work it out – half price on their fully inclusive rates … this is a great deal!

Congrats to these two establishments for providing such a special experience to their visitors! We are extremely proud to represent you on the SA-Venues.com site.
