Not only does Devils Peak Brewery create some of the best craft beer in sunny Cape Town, but it now also offers an incredibly trendy bar to sit and drink these luscious beers. The Taproom is stylish and chic, its decor is intriguing, very quirky and inviting.
There is an old, original, working pac-man machine, which draws alot of attention, because lets face it, who can resist a game of pac-man! The views are spectacular and it’s not hard to see why this hot spot attracts so many customers.
Apart from the regular brews, there is also a line of experimental beers at the bar, where you can be the first to sample some possible new styles. Some of the taps here, offer exclusive beer that you will not be able to get anywhere else.
A few of the names you can expect to see on tap are the Woodhead Amber Ale, The Kings Blockhouse IPA, First Light Golden Ale and Silvertree Saison. The exciting part about the Taproom is that behind the bar, through large glass windows you have a spectacular view of the micro brewery on site.
Lets not forget the food at The Taproom. Serving fabulous traditional pub food, the menu is small but changes regularly allowing you to try something new and delicious on every visit. Some of the favourites seen on the menu so far are the pulled pork, packed into a fresh roll and the juicy bacon and cheese beef burgers with chunky homemade chips and relish.
If you are looking for a place to go for a cheeky drink, a sneaky lunch with your work colleagues, a bite to eat and a slug of beer after work, somewhere to watch the game or perhaps a nice spot to take your friends or that special someone for a great evening out, then The Taproom is certainly the place to come to. This is not just a bar … it’s an experience, and certainly not one to be missed.
