Nik Rabinowitz’s show uNik in Johannesburg this October

Nik Rabinowitz

Nik Rabinowitz

If you live in Johannesburg and are in need of a laugh then you have to get to the Old Mutual Theatre on the Square in Sandton to watch one of my favourite South African comedians, Nik Rabinowitz, in his one man show uNik. The show runs for two weeks only and I’m positive it will be very popular so get to the front of the queue to get your tickets. The dates are 26 October to 6 November so you have a week or two to get your act together!

Directed by Brent Palmer and co-written by Tom Eaton you can expect to laugh like crazy at this production. Nik is here to remind you that we are all uNik (unique) – aside from the 6.5 billion of us who are exactly the same, and he’ll take you on a journey of jokes and clever thinking to get you thinking.

This is a show for everyone, if you are a comedy lover or just a plain Joe who is looking for a bit of laughter, or you might be taking someone on a date and need something to break the ice, this would be a great start to an evening. At least you’ll both leave with a smile on your face, even if you’re not a match made in heaven.

Nik Rabinowitz

Nik is a Cape Town boy who grew up in Constantia and while growing up he learnt some valuable lessons, one of which is to speak Xhosa which brings a completely different dimension to his act. It’s not often you meet a Jewish born comedian with an Honours degree from UCT who speaks Xhosa and can make you cry with laughter. If you don’t believe me you should go and check it out for yourself. This show is being brought back by popular demand of already satisfied customers and those who couldn’t see the show last time.

Show Details and Contact:
The show runs Tuesday to Fridays at 20h15 and at 18h00 and 20h30 on Saturdays, there are no shows on Sundays and Mondays. Tickets cost R150 per person and can be booked by either calling Strictly Tickets on +27 (0)73 725 7381 or directly from the theatre on +27 (0)11 883-8606.

Come along and laugh, but remember you might be crying rather than laughing if you don’t book your tickets today!
