I ♥ Champagne Valley

I ♥ Champagne Valley

Hi, I’m Diane Harrison from Champagne Haven in Champagne Valley in the Drakensberg.

Champagne Valley IS BEST KNOWN FOR its magnificent scenery, amazing hikes and many fun activities.

GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN AT the canopy tour to prove you were brave enough.

THE BEST scenery PICTURES CAN BE TAKEN from a canoe in the magnificent dam.

OTHER HAPPY SNAPS AT the summit of the sunset trail.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S GOOD, I LIKE TO hike and play golf.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S BAD, I LIKE TO relax with a good book or puzzle or visit the many interesting shops in the area.

I THINK THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT IS May to June, BECAUSE the weather is neither too hot nor too cold and the mountains are so clear then.

FOR LUNCH, I SUGGEST the Champagne Castle Hotel.

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IS Thokosiza, TRY THE Jalapeno Mountain Burger.

MY FAVOURITE picnic SPOT IS Nandi’s Falls.

FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN – you wouldn’t want a night on the town, trust me.

IF YOU WANT TO MEET LOCALS, GO TO the Dragon Peak’s Pub.

Champagne Valley’s BEST KEPT SECRET IS the Mount Champagne Resort.

MY FAVOURITE THING TO DO WITH FRIENDS IS relax around the fire and chat.

FOR SOME LIVE MUSIC, I LIKE TO GO TO listen to good saxaphone music at Thokosiza.

TO RELAX AND RESTORE MY SOUL, I LIKE TO just be in this valley.

MY FAVOURITE HIKE IS the Sunset Trail.

MY FAVOURITE fun and interesting SHOP IS The Ugly Duckling at Cedarwod.

IF YOU’RE HERE IN July, JOIN IN THE FUN AT the Polar Bear Swim.

MY FAVOURITE GALLERY IS The Valley Bakery. CHECK OUT THE the local artists while dining on excellent cuisine.

MY FAVOURITE BUILDING IS No. 6, Mount Champagne.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN? A FUN OUTING IS go karting and playing putt putt.

BEST CHEAP AND CHEERFUL OUTING IS the daily falcon show at Falcon Ridge.

WHEN MONEY’S NO OBJECT, I LIKE TO do the canopy tour and play golf.

WHEN I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, I feed the geese and wild birds.

I Love Champagne Valley BECAUSE it is a little piece of paradise in this crazy world.
