Rosetta’s BEST KEPT SECRET IS Rosetta, it is quiet has a lovely small village/ Hamlet atmosphere with friendly people.


FOR SOME CULTURE, I LIKE TO GO TO visit the arts and Crafts shops on the Midlands Meander.

TO RELAX AND RESTORE MY SOUL, I LIKE TO sit on our stoep with a glass of red wine a pair of binoculars and a good book.

IF YOU’RE FEELING ADVENTUROUS, TRY The Karkloof Treetops tour.

MY FAVOURITE WALK / HIKE IS Highmoor / Kamberg Nature Reserve or a drive along the Kamberg road with its row of old Oaks to Giants Castle and back via Mooi River or a slow drive down to Howick on the R103.

MY FAVOURITE MUSEUMS ARE IS Fort Nottingham, Mooi River Nelson Mandela Capture site and Ladysmith Museums. CHECK OUT THE Boer War battle site at Spioenkop.

MY FAVOURITE BUILDING IS St Peters Church on the Kamberg Road, FOR ITS romantic look and setting.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN? A FUN OUTING IS Chocolate Heaven or indoor archery at The Junction at Nottingham Road.

MY FAVOURITE WEEKEND GETAWAY IS fishing on the Bushmans River.

WHEN I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, I serve on a community benefit committee.

I Love Rosetta BECAUSE this is a special area with great fishing, hiking, mountain biking, motor cycling, restaurants, arts and craft,s a great wine farm at Abingdon and the most beautiful countryside and mountain views. Life cannot get much better.
