I ♥ Shelly Beach

I ♥ Shelly Beach

Hi, I’m Karin Müller-Nedebock from Ilala Holiday Home in Shelly Beach.

Shelly Beach IS BEST KNOWN FOR its quiet holiday atmosphere, even though you are at the centre of everything.

GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN basking on the beach, riding the waves, abseiling in the Gorge or white river rafting down the Umzimkulu River.

THE BEST sun-filled PICTURES CAN BE TAKEN AT the Blue Flag beaches.

OTHER HAPPY SNAPS AT the C-Bali restaurant overlooking the sea.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S GOOD, I LIKE TO sit at he beach, watching people and nature.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S BAD, I LIKE TO shop in our shopping malls: Shelly Centre and The South Coast Mall are both situated in Shelly Beach.

I ♥ Shelly Beach

I ♥ Shelly Beach

I THINK THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT IS all year around, BECAUSE the temperature is consistent throughout the summer and winter.

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IS Spur in the Shelly Centre, TRY THE ribs.

MY FAVOURITE browsing SPOT IS the Shelly Centre.

FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN TRY St Michael’s Sands with its live music.

IF YOU WANT TO MEET LOCALS, GO TO the flea-market on Saturdays and Sundays.

Shelly Beach’s BEST KEPT SECRET IS its wide variety of marine life.

MY FAVOURITE THING TO DO WITH FRIENDS IS have a picnic on the beach.

FOR SOME LIVE MUSIC, I LIKE TO GO TO the German Münchener House.

TO RELAX AND RESTORE MY SOUL, I LIKE TO sit on the rocks and spot dolphins and whales.

IF YOU’RE FEELING ADVENTUROUS, TRY some of the deep sea activities.

MY FAVOURITE WALK IS the Saint’s walk from Shelly Beach to Margate.

MY FAVOURITE grocery and clothing SHOP IS Woolworths in the Shelly Centre.

IF YOU’RE HERE IN July and August, JOIN IN THE FUN AT the Lutheran Church Bazaar in Izotsha. It’s a highlight for the whole coast.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN? A FUN OUTING IS the beach or Pure Venom Reptile Park.

BEST CHEAP AND CHEERFUL OUTING IS Lake Eland with its hanging bridge over the Gorge.

WHEN MONEY’S NO OBJECT, I LIKE TO try my hand at the Wild Coast Casino.

THE MOST UNUSUAL THING I SEE HERE IS the Red Desert, the smallest desert in the world.

MY FAVOURITE WEEKEND GETAWAY IS trying out one of the 18 golf courses at the South Coast.

WHEN I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, I support the children’s projects in this area.

I Love Shelly Beach BECAUSE it’s 100% lovable.
