Surrounded by the majesty of the Magaliesberg moun­tain range, Hartbeespoort is situ­ated in the North West Province of South Africa. The vil­lage of Hartbeespoort is situ­ated along the shores of the well known Hartbeespoort Dam. This spec­tac­u­lar dam is a pop­u­lar des­tin­a­tion for week­end get­aways or day trips.

The Harbeespoort Dam was con­struc­ted in 1925 and cur­rently boasts a capa­city of 205 mil­lion cubic metres and its shoreline, when full, is approx­im­ately 56km! These awe­some char­ac­ter­ist­ics allow for all thrill­ing water­s­port adven­tures to be enjoyed here includ­ing para­sail­ing, wind­surf­ing, water and jet ski­ing and so much more.

Hartbeespoort is situ­ated among undu­lat­ing hills and pan­or­amic views of the dam as well as the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains can be exper­i­enced here. The beauty, tran­quil­ity and attrac­tions here entice people from all over to enjoy its spec­tac­u­lar terrains.

Other attrac­tions in Hartbeespoort that one can explore include the aquar­ium, private zoo, a snake park as well as a cable way. The Hartbeespoort Aquarium is one of the largest in Africa and sure to be an unfor­get­table exper­i­ence. Also of interest is the Crocodile Ramble, an arts and crafts route with day vis­itor and overnight facilities.

    I also need a day away on box­ing day with a fam­ily to hartes­bees­port dam. Do you charge an entrance fee and how much is it , is it per peron or per car? We need to use braai facil­it­ies as well.
