Cycling enthusiasts should head to Bloemfontein for the 2nd annual Tour de Free State from Wednesday 23 May to Sunday 27 May 2012. The route starts from Bloemfontein and ends in Clarens. This cycle race is the only Olympic qualifying race for women in Africa. With international teams taking part and the rest of the country’s cyclists having the opportunity to participate in what has already been proven to be one of the best cycling events in South Africa.

The annual Smithfield ‘Bibber’ Chill Festival is held in Smithfield on Saturday 26 May 2012 and has lots of entertainment lined up.
