Wine lovers in Gauteng will be pleased to hear that the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show Johannesburg Public Tasting is back again on Friday 8 June 2012 in Sandton, the Cape Town event takes place the Friday 15 June 2012. With over 900 top wines of South Africa available to taste you will be spoilt for choice. Tickets for the event are available from Computicket and the show is open from 18h00 to 21h00.

Come along to the first Aquarium Expo in South Africa at the Emperors Palace in Kempton Park from Friday 8 June to Sunday 10 June 2012 where you can find out all that is required for keeping an aquarium. Bring the whole family to enjoy the many exhibitors showcasing and selling all the latest gadgets for your aquarium or for those interested in building a new home aquarium. This event is joined together with The Home Expo so you can also see the latest in home improvements.

Previously held at the Kyalami Race Track and now at the new venue Inanda Country Base in Midrand for the 2nd year. Find all the adventure gear you need for birding, hiking, trailing and outdoor activities both in South Africa and other exciting destinations around the world.

Attend the Ke-Music-Tal-Concert at Ivory Park in Midrand on Saturday 9 June 2012 to be entertained by local talented young people passionate about the music industry. A highlight on the Robertson calendar is the Wacky Wine Weekend from Thursday 7 June to Sunday 10 June 2012. Documentary Festival

If you’re wanting to see something a little bit different then book your seat at the Encounters International Documentary Festival from Thursday 7 June to Sunday 24 June 2012 at the Nu Metro, V&A Waterfront and The Classic On Broadway, Long Street. This is the only film festival that is devoted to documentaries.

Take part in the Miles of Smiles Half Marathon and 10km run on Saturday 9 June 2012 starting at the Robertson Winery in Robertson. This is a popular run that coincides with the Wacky Wine Weekend. An exciting new 3-day mountain bike (MTB) challenge – the Grindrod Bank Umngazi Pondo Pedal – has its inaugural cycle on the breathtakingly beautiful Wild Coast starting and finishing at Umngazi River Bungalows & Spa 20kms south of Port St Johns from Wednesday 6 June to Sunday 10 June 2012. The Wine Road Show takes place in Port Elizabeth at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium from Friday 8 June to Sunday 10 June 2012 and promises to be a three-day wine extravaganza! The exhibitors are limited to 50 award winning estates and will showcase their latest vintages. There will be a dedicated outdoor eating area where you can fill you bellies with some delicious food.
