Charity Music Concert – Enjoy a fabulous night for an outstanding cause

Send to Kindle

Indulge yourself in an evening of entertainment with fabulous performers,  sparkling wine and gourmet canapés all for a good cause on 23 November 2013. The Vineyard Hotel and Spa Conference Centre will be host to the Charity Music Concert  in order to raise money for abused and neglected animals.

Friends of the Animal Rescue Organisation are a group of enthusiastic and committed volunteers who are trying their best to raise money for those poor animals who are abused and need medical attention, food and care in the Eastern Cape. Unemployment in the area is at an all time high and the increase in abused and neglected animals is phenomenal.

Friends of the Animal Rescue Organisation are arranging events left right and centre for this outstanding cause, in the hope of offering the animals a better life and to be able to sterilize cats and dogs in needy rural areas.

The event will kick off with four young girls from Fish Hoek High School who are going to perform a quartet as a prelude.  They are Paige van Oudtshoorn on cello, grade 8 student at Fish Hoek High School, Lisa van Oudtshoorn on piano, grade 12 student , Aneri Swanepoel on violin, grade 12 student  and Ami-Rose Barber vocals, grade 12 student who is also part of the cast of Pieter Torien’s production of the Sound of Music set to tour the East and New Zealand in 2014.

There are two other fabulous performers, the first being Zanne Stapelberg, who received the best young opera award and has appeared in many theatre productions, musicals and operas internationally and has a released album.

The second performer, Minette, is an award winning singer, who won the Mozart prize and was the winner of the ATKV music competition. She performs in many national arts festivals and has was nominated for the best classical music production for the “100 Jaar van die Afrikaanse Kunselied” cd by Kyknet Fiesta.

About

Michelle has a huge love for all things aquatic, particularly marine life. Her main passion lies with Great White Sharks, although she is interested in all marine species and their well-being. She volunteers at the Two Oceans Aquarium in her spare time and would spend all her time by the sea or surrounded by nature if possible. After spending 7 years in the United Kingdom, she has returned back home to Cape Town to be nearer to her family and to her ‘favourite place in the world’. She enjoys camping, fishing, watching rugby and going out with her friends and family to try out new restaurants and bars.
