The Cracks Only quartet is made up of Anthea Thompson who is an award winning actress, Shimmy Isaacs and Anne Hirsch who are both comedy stars and finalising the quartet is Marianne Thamm a veteran columnist. These formidable talents first joined forces in Cracks and the City in July 2010 which was directed by fellow comedian and South African talent, Alan Committie.

You may remember Anthea Thompson from her television performances for SABC which include Madam and Eve, Out on a Limb and M-Net’s Laugh out Loud. Shimmy Isaac’s grasped a comedic following when one of her works was voted Best of the Ikhwesi Festival. Born in Bloemfontein, Anne Hirsch moved to Cape Town for her studies and is also the only white woman to have performed as part of David Kau’s Blacks Only touring comedy which performed to sold out audiences. Marianne Thamm is well known as an award winning columnist for Fairlady and in 2007 she won a South African Comedy Award for the Best Humorous Columnist.
