Catch Dave Ferguson at The Grand Daddy
Dave Ferguson is an urban legend in Cape Town. Real cowboy boots, a suitcase full of harmonicas, a hound-dog-belly-scratchin toe tap and an infectious box of beats – just add people – and its instant charisma!
Catch Dave in the Airstream Penthouse Park (a more appropriate venue you could not wish for) at Cape Town’s coolest venue, The Grand Daddy Hotel (38 Long Street, Cape Town), on 31 July and 14 and 28 August 2009. If the weather looks nasty, we will relocate into the warmth of the cool-but-not-in-a-cold-way Daddy Cool Bar …
Dave Ferguson’s solo show uses only harmonica, human beat-box and vocals, recording live loops and then layering and building those loops to construct a song. Doing mainly originals and some Blues /Americana and other unnexpected surprises thrown in for good measure.
And if driving home afterwards is not a good idea, check into The Grand Daddy Hotel at these very cool special prices and make a night of it …
Only R590 per person sharing per night which includes accommodation in a standard room, a 3 course dinner at Bruce Robertson’s Showroom Cafe and a full breakfast at the Showroom Cafe. Now thats a very good reason to stay the night, or why not make a weekend of it? For more info or to book this special contact The Grand Daddy Hotel on Telephone +27 (0)21 424-7247 or view and book at: The Grand Daddy Hotel.
