I ♥ Cape Town Central

Hi, I’m Jason Rodwell from the Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel in Cape Town Central.

Cape Town Central IS BEST KNOWN FOR Long Street and the nightlife surrounding it.

GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN AT Table Mountain which is, in my opinion, one of the best things Cape Town has to offer and such an amazing natural wonder.

THE BEST “artsy” PICTURES CAN BE TAKEN AT the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.

OTHER HAPPY SNAPS AT Green Market Square.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S GOOD, I LIKE TO spend time in Nature, walking / hiking.

WHEN THE WEATHER’S BAD, I LIKE TO stay indoors, eat good food and be in good company.

I THINK THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT IS January / February, BECAUSE the weather is amazing and its the best time for festivals.

MY FAVOURITE BREAKFAST SPOT IS Beleza Restaurant in Tamboerskloof.

FOR LUNCH, I SUGGEST Royale Eatery on Long Street.

BEST LATE NIGHT SNACK FROM 24 hour food at the Engen Garage off Long Street, they are open 24 hours and have a Woolies and take away options.

MY FAVOURITE socialising SPOT IS Rafikis.

FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN TRY Assembly or Mercury Live.

Cape Town Central’s BEST KEPT SECRET IS it wouldn’t be a secret if i told you …

MY FAVOURITE THING TO DO WITH FRIENDS IS go to outdoor music festivals.

FOR SOME LIVE MUSIC, I LIKE TO GO TO The Assembly on 61 Harrington Street.

TO RELAX AND RESTORE MY SOUL, I LIKE TO spend loads of time in nature “recharging”.

IF YOU’RE FEELING ADVENTUROUS, TRY Kamakazie Canyon, enquire at Abseil Africa.

MY FAVOURITE WALK / HIKE IS The Pipe Track on Table Mountain.

MY FAVOURITE clothing SHOP IS Hemporium.

IF YOU’RE HERE IN January / February, JOIN IN THE FUN AT the Origin Festival.

MY FAVOURITE MUSEUM IS the SA Museum. CHECK OUT THE Planetarium as well.

BEST CHEAP AND CHEERFUL OUTING IS the Scratch Patch at the V&A Waterfront.

WHEN MONEY’S NO OBJECT, I LIKE TO go up and down the Cableway (Table Mountain).

THE MOST UNUSUAL THING I SEE HERE ARE the characters on Long street.

MY FAVOURITE WEEKEND GETAWAY IS Churchaven in the West Coast National Park.

WHEN I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, I do fundraising for our Daddy Feed Me project, giving back into underprivileged communities.

I Love Cape Town Central BECAUSE in my opinion Cape Town is one of the most amazing cities in the world.
