Make your way down to Maestros On The Beach

Send to Kindle

Maestros On The Beach is a fabulous restaurant that sits on the lip of the Atlantic Ocean with exquisite views of Table Mountain and the entire coastline.  Dine inside behind large glass windows offering shelter on windy days or alfresco on the deck with the cool breeze and the fresh smell of the sea. The atmosphere is incredibly vibey at this busy restaurant and the service is spectacular.

But it is not just the physical aspect and location that is so enticing, the food is a big winner. The menu offers diners a magnificent choice in culinary delights and something to suite every palate that passes through the doors.

Maestro's By The Sea

For starters there are a number of mouthwatering choices some of which include snails in garlic butter, chicken or beef trinchado, pita or chita breads (a popular choice), baby calamari stuffed with feta and chicken and covered in a garlic sauce or the black mushrooms smothered in Napoli sauce and garlic, topped with a good mound of parmesan cheese. If you prefer a salad, the Mykonos is one of my favourites and consists of mixed leaves with tomato, cucumber, fried haloumi cheese, bacon and topped with rocket, it is a taste sensation.

Seen as the restaurant is right by the sea, you would expect fresh seafood, which is exactly what you get. Kingklip, butterfly grilled tiger prawns, tuna steaks, calamari, mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce, beer battered hake and the seafood platter with a great combination of them all are some of the delicious main course dishes you can choose from. There are steaks, hotpots, ribs, pastas, veal and chicken specialities and sandwiches and ciabattas with amazing fillings for a lighter choice.

The pizza’s are large and are by far the tastiest I have ever had, the only problem was I found it hard to decide which one to have because there are so many yummy options. The celebrity burgers are also divine, especially the Jessica Simpson: Oh my word which has avocado, bacon, camembert and peppadews on a juicy beef patty tucked in a roll and served with what can only be described as glorious chips.

This is one phenomenal restaurant and has everything going for it. It is always busy and it’s not hard to see why. To avoid disappointment I would suggest you make a booking or at least leave a little earlier to get a great spot.
