Do you prefer life in the slow lane? If so then take a chilled trip down to Robertson for their third annual Robertson Slow. This year the festival will be held from 7 to 10 August 2009. Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson in collaboration with 28 wineries and Guest Houses from these areas welcome you to the Robertson Wine Valley and invite you, the visitor, to enjoy food and drink at their tables.
Traditional fare such as Waterblommetjie Bredie, Karoo venison, tripe and organic meals will be on offer at the homes of the Valley’s winemaking families. Here you will be able to meet with the winemakers and talk to them about their wines and of course there will be plenty of opportunity to taste the wines of this region ...
Take this weekend at your own pace and along the way you can take part in fun food activities. Take home the skills of hand making pasta, baking your own vetkoek and you even have the opportunity to learn how to make salami. When you have had your fill on food you can go horse riding, boating or one of the many walks and hiking trails in the area.

Sunday 9 August is market day with the second annual Regional Food Market. Here local food enthusiasts and cooks will delight you with treats from their kitchens. There will be music and entertainment and a host of nibbles to keep you satisfied.
