Wilgewandel Holiday Farm is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Karoo, just 25 kilometres from the historic town centre of Oudtshoorn. It is on the farm of Grootkraal, which has, for decades, been popular for its physical location; just two kilometres from the world-famous Cango Caves. Animal-lovers will enjoy the experience of feeding and touching different kinds of animals, while those with a discerning palate may prefer to indulge in a wine tasting of the local vintages.

Wilgewandel’s restaurant is open every day from 08h30 to 17h00. It is fully licensed and offers an a-la-carte menu that is brimming with a wide variety of home-cooked meals and South African flavours. Beautiful views of the Swartberg Mountain Range and the dam round off any meal, snack or cup of coffee to perfection. Group meals can be arranged and special dietary requirements (Halaal or vegetarian) can be organised in advance.

    It looks good to have a holiday break in Wilgewandel. The place is really for people looking for a simple life. It surely fits my hobby, I love raising animals.
