We organ­ised a sur­prise after­noon for a friend’s birth­day on Saturday and what a fun day it turned out to be.  After a num­ber of emails through­out the week we all met at Dutch in Wynberg at 12.30 — ss men­tioned, the after­noon was a sur­prise so it was fun to see the look of sur­prise (excuse the pun) on Sarah’s face when I parked next to her and waved through the win­dow.  ‘Helen’s here, that’s a coin­cid­ence’ she thought to herself!

Dutch is tucked at the back of a beau­ti­ful old house in Wynberg — other parts of the house are shared with Alison’s Florist and Kiids.  Although the inside space is small, it doesn’t seem squashed and there is ample space in the out­side garden area.  Inside, the walls are painted a dark grey and pho­tos cover most of a large wall.  Orange, the national col­our of Holland makes an appear­ance in a num­ber of the pho­tos on the wall and in some of the fur­niture dot­ted around the inside seat­ing area — genius idea!
