Todays photograph was taken in the Eastern Cape at the Keiskamma River Mouth in Hamburg. The little town of Hamburg lies on the estuary of the Keiskammer River, which here forms a lagoon. As the town’s name suggests, Hamburg was founded in 1857 by German settlers.
Thanks to its beautiful beach, Hamburg … Hamburg lies on the coast between the coastal city of East London and the town of Port Alfred has developed into a popular holiday resort and is popular for its great fishing (you do require a fishing permit to fish here), hiking, canoeing, windsurfing, bird watching and heritage trails.
