Eat Sleep Do In Hazyview On The Panorama Route

Updated Saturday, 21 August 2021

Hazyview is a special spot โ€“ the pace is a little slower, the folk a little friendlier, and the Kruger National Park quite a lot closer (only about 20 minutes away, to be exact). This little farming town in Mpumalanga is known for its macadamia nut, avocado pear and banana farms too, thanks to the subtropical climate.

Hazyview is only 4.5 hours away from Johannesburg and nine hours from Durban.

Weโ€™ve put together a few of our favourite places to sleep, restaurants to eat and things to do during your time in Hazyview …

Plumbago Guest House

Plumbago Guest House is reminiscent of times past, when days were punctuated by afternoon teas and homes were infused with the rich colour of authentic mahogany.

This Hazyview country retreat is deliciously indulgent and guests can look forward to feeling like they are miles away from the real world, but right on the doorstep of some of Mpumalangaโ€™s most wonderful attractions.
