Hi, I’m Ann Davenport from Eshowe Hills Eco and Golf Estate in Eshowe, KwaZulu Natal.
ESHOWE IS BEST KNOWN FOR its beautiful forest and birdlife and is centrally situated for trips to the game reserves and Battlefields.
GET YOUR PICTURE TAKEN AT the Dlinza Forest and Aerial Boardwalk.
THE BEST scenic PICTURES CAN BE TAKEN AT Eshowe Hills.
OTHER HAPPY SNAPS AT Pobanke Lake and Shakaland.
WHEN THE WEATHER’S GOOD, I LIKE TO go for walks in the forest.
I THINK THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT IS all year around, BECAUSE Eshowes climate is cooler in summer than down at the coast and from March to July we have ‘champagne weather’; cool and sunny. The winters are moderate.
MY FAVOURITE BREAKFAST SPOT IS at home on Eshowe Hills.
FOR LUNCH, I SUGGEST Adams Outpost at the museum.
MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IS at Eshowe Hills, TRY THE chefs specials.
BEST LATE NIGHT SNACK FROM Nandos.
FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN TRY The George Hotel.
IF YOU WANT TO MEET LOCALS, GO TO ‘Made at Home’ in Kangela Street on Saturday mornings or pitch up for a game of golf at Eshowe Hills.
Eshowe’s BEST KEPT SECRET IS its abundant birdlife.
MY FAVOURITE THING TO DO WITH FRIENDS IS entertain al fresco.
TO RELAX AND RESTORE MY SOUL, I LIKE TO walk in the forest or on the golf course.
MY FAVOURITE DRIVE IS through the Ngoya Forest in Mtunzini.
MY FAVOURITE decor and gift SHOP IS The Classic Touch at Eshowe Mall.
MY FAVOURITE bird WATCHING SPOT IS The Boardwalk.
MY FAVOURITE MUSEUM IS Nongwani Museum at the fort. CHECK OUT THE Butterfly Dome.
MY FAVOURITE BUILDING IS the Eshowe Junior School, FOR ITS olde world charm.
TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN? A FUN OUTING IS a day at Brocklee Dam.
BEST CHEAP AND CHEERFUL OUTING IS a trip to Amatikulu to fish and swim.
WHEN MONEY’S NO OBJECT, I LIKE TO spoil myself with a trip to Gateway which is just over an hour away.
MY FAVOURITE WEEKEND GETAWAY IS Umfolosi Game Reserve.
WHEN I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, I support the many charities and community upliftment projects run by the service clubs and international NGO’s.
I Love Eshowe Because not only is it a beautiful place to live but I enjoy being part of a friendly and caring community.
